I like Wallpaper! Yes, I said it …
Which sounds pretty funny considering I have spent many hours getting rid of Wallpaper!!!
For many years wallpaper was OUT and faux finishes were IN
But the “faux” has sort of lost it’s appeal after a couple of decades in the spotlight.
If you still want some pattern or texture- wallpaper is an easy way to get it!
Yep EASY! And much less messy than paint.
My favorite places for wallpaper are:
Accent walls in Bedrooms- Especially if there is a wall with no door openings.
Powder Baths and Foyers and Ceilings
Though the paper costs more than paint, you save $ on not having to purchase artwork.
To me the paper is usually enough (if it has a pattern) to stand alone and be the focal point.
Layering art is sometimes okay, but not at all necessary since the paper itself is art!
I love this Buffalo check paper applied above the leather covered portion of the wall.
Here is a mint colored Ikat Chevron pattern I used in a client’s teens bedroom-
We ordered it from Spoonflower.com

I love the Soft, yet Geometric pattern of this powder bath paper.
Even a small area of paper can make a HUGE impact.
I love this black and white awning stripe we used in this built in foyer wall.
I love this Trellis Paper paired with the parson console and the clean lined lamps.
Looks very Classic Modern

This Room would just not be the same room if it were painted.
The Grass cloth gives it dimension and takes it to a whole new level!
