At Home in Arkansas Guest Post…Fashion Forward

As a designer, it’s one of my jobs to be looking ahead to the upcoming trends.
Though I don’t focus too heavy on trends, I do feel every space should be a little fashion forward!

The 2015 Forecast has a lot of color to choose from.

Most of these are a continuation of the colors that we have been seeing in design over the past few years!
So no need to worry…
That Radiant Orchid sofa you just ordered to go in your Emerald Green living room
will be just fine… for awhile!

And always keep in mind…even if not “on Trend”
It’s okay to be yourself in your home design and otherwise!!!

Here is a mix of a few of my favorite colors in the forecast.

In addition to some great colors, mosaic and geometric tiles 

 are going to become more of the norm in the upcoming months!

Also look to see floral prints and botanicals in the spotlight.

As well as abstract cut- paper art!

When designing your spaces,
it’s easy to see all the new home fashions and think how good they look
and how you want to redo your entire home with all the new looks.
But there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it.
I think it’s okay to follow trend, if you mix it the right way…

and as always, mistakes happen in home design (and life)
